The news from GM is more than a bit exciting as the confirmation of the new Buick Regal TourX wagon is more than just confirmed. The CARB documents that confirm the approval of the powertrain offered for this new vehicle make it all but a realty. We’ll get a look at this new Regal in Michigan on April 4th, but until then there’s still something interesting going on with regards to the transmissions being used and the engine choices. While the main engine has been approved we’re not sure what else will be offered.
Before the official unveiling of the Dodge Demon happens, there is already a challenger on the market to give us another muscle car that could be as powerful as or more powerful than what the Demon will be. This car is built from a Camaro ZL1 and it made by Hennessey to be what is called the Exorcist. The car is designed to be the one to dispel the Demon inside you and give you something with more pure menace and power to drive wherever you need to go. This Demon punishing massive monster is powered by an LT4 V8 engine that has been tuned up to 1000 horsepower and 966 lb.-ft. of torque.
You might not think about them until you realize they need to be changed, but you do need to pay attention to your tires and brakes on a regular basis. If you drive a high performance car and take it out for a fast run on a regular basis this should be a habit for you, but if you simply do your normal daily driving you need to check these items on a regular basis as well. Here are some of the various things you need to be aware of when it comes to your tires and brakes that will help you avoid having problems in the future.
Some cars get old and go out of style but others are the cars you want to drive and enjoy every day. These special cars are the ones we restore, the ones we keep in pristine condition and the ones that we want to enjoy on those special days when it calls for something better to drive. Whether or not these cars are worth much on the market is irrelevant, the cars you want to drive that have come around recently can be the cars you want to keep on driving for the next several decades. Do you know what the Redline is when it comes to GM? For many of us something in our life has been called the Redline whether it only indicates the position on the tachometer where the rpm are higher than they should be or you are a Hot Wheels fan that collects the oldest models of the brand. For GM the Redline was a name given to Saturn models when the brand was around which indicated a higher performing version of the vehicles in the lineup. Chevrolet has recently brought back the Redline moniker and put it on nine of the models to give you what you want.
In a world that has seen FCA dial back the brands and the models that it offers on the market one brand has continued to grow and will offer us more of what we want going forward in the future. That brand is Jeep and it’s not really any secret that FCA has put an enormous investment into what Jeep is and what it will continue to offer on the market in the future. To go along with the $1 billion investment being put into the Warren, MI and Toledo OH plants for the future of Jeep and what it will offer us.
Most of the time cars are defined by their most purchased model and body style. For many cars, such as the Honda Civic, that body style is the sedan and the model is the small but mighty 2.0-liter engine that’s offered. When an automaker takes a sedan and turn it into a coupe it’s not often that we feel the coupe is better or more of what we want, but the Honda Civic of this generation could change your mind and make it easy for you to understand the new coupe and what it offers you for the drive.
There have been more new Lotus models built now than most other times in the past. This car company has been working toward lighter and more agile cars over the past few years and doesn’t’ seem ready to stop anytime soon. Lotus has put together some of the models of their long lauded Exige that are more impressive than ever before including the Exige Sport 380 which is already considered to be the fastest Exige ever but now there could be one that’s even faster than this car and its ready to take the game to the track.
The fear of the Chinese taking over the US automotive market with vehicles that are built as shoddily as some of the toys and other products we’ve seen from China in the past is gone with the advent of the new Envision. The Buick Envision is the first vehicle built in China by a US company to be imported to the US and it certainly worthy of the badging, the name and the place it’s holding for Buick. Not only did GM make the Envision to be a great crossover SUV, they stuck it right in the most competitive part of the market and so far the Envision is everything you could hope for.
Chevrolet has brought us a new car to the market and we’ve already been buying this car up faster than any other EV that’s come before it. That’s right, the new Chevy Bolt EV is a car that has captured our attention and makes a huge difference for us on the road and when it comes to fuel costs. This new car is changing the game for Chevrolet in order to give us a car that’s perfect for the ride and one that will make a difference in our driving. With a car that offers us up to 238 miles of electric range on a single charge Chevrolet wants more from the Bolt than any other EV has had in the past.
