New Cars, Fun to Drive

2016 Acura NSX Coming

Every year we see a long list of new cars come out and sometimes a short list of cars that will no longer be built.  With these new offerings on the market it’s nearly impossible to contain the excitement that we feel before they finally make it to market.  Before these cars even find their way to the dealerships we want to learn all we can about what they are capable of doing and how they will drive.  Of course the actual driving of a new car is what makes it the most exciting, but until they reach the market and offers us a drive here are seven new cars that are coming out soon which you should be excited about and ready to drive for a lot of fun.

2017 Ford GT

2017 Ford GT

With the next version of the GT coming out in a little over a year, the Detroit Auto Show was stolen by this car and the talk has not stopped since the cover came off.  The 2017 model is expected to be powered by a 3.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine that will put out over 600 horsepower and offer a seriously lightweight body.  As with tradition, this car will be built to take on all competitors at Le Mans and will most likely find its way to the front more than once.  With awesome style, fantastic aerodynamics and power most of us have never seen, it seems the entire world is waiting anxiously for this car to make its way to the dealerships.

2016 Shelby GT350

2016 Shelby GT350

This will be a car that you want to drive and you won’t have to wait as long as you will for the GT.  The 5.2-liter V8 will bring in over 500 horsepower and makes you see a car that you can get behind the wheel and feel every bit of the ride.  The relationship you can develop with a car that is this driver oriented is simply amazing and the MagnaRide suspension helps you keep your speed in the corners where you can certainly wave as the other cars see you fly on by in this awesome new pony car.

2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia

2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia

The Giulia is set to be the next great attraction from the company that brought is the 4C.  This short wheelbase lightweight sports sedan is expected to offer some of the most amazing driving feel we have ever experienced.  This beauty will be powered by a V6 that brings out 510 horsepower, which allows it to be a bit more fuel efficient and has the speed to reach sixty mph in less than four seconds.  As a rear-wheel drive, high priced, luxury sports car, this is certainly one that will give you a once in a lifetime kind of drive.

2016 Ford F-150 Raptor

2016 Ford F-150 Raptor

IF you love the outdoors, or simply like to crush things under your tires, the Raptor will be a truck you want to get up inside and take a drive.  What is truly amazing is the fact that Ford did not put a V8 in this brute, instead it’s going to be powered by a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that will give you a massive 411 horsepower to enjoy.  The beauty in this build is the lighter weight all around even with the truck being stiffer than before, which makes it easy to enjoy a ride to your favorite remote location, or give you the ability to cruse some rocks under the huge off road tires on this beautiful beast.

2016 Ford Focus RS

2016 Ford Focus RS

Who in their right mind would be looking forward to driving a Ford Focus?  Well, when you put the RS at the end of it and realize Ford has installed an amazing AWD that is made for performance in this compact hatchback you might sing a different tune.  This 345 horsepower car has more juice than a Porsche Cayman GTS and is so light it might be the Ford that will take down the Volkswagen Golf or the Subaru STI.  The Focus RS is certainly a car worth waiting for, but it can’t get here soon enough to show off what it can do against some of these other long time players.

2016 Acura NSX

2016 Acura NSX Coming

The super car from Acura has made its return one we all love.  This mid-engine setup and Super Handing All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) make for a car that certainly is balanced and easy to enjoy on any road in the world.  Add to it the twin-turbocharged V6 that is backed up by three Sport Hybrid motors all ready to deliver instant power and you have a car that will nearly take off as it rockets along any track or road.  As a car that really needs to hit the market quickly, the NSX is going to be one of the most sought after and discussed super cars ever.

2016 Honda Civic Type R

2016 Honda Civic Type R Green

The Civic was a favorite sports car from Honda for several years, but has recently dropped out of favor; well it’s back at the top and ready to be one of the many cars you want to drive.  With 306 horsepower pushing this small hatchback down the road, the Civic R made a run at Nurburgring that was simply amazing and passed by several other high performance sports cars that have made the run over the years.  This is a car that has a long history and can be that nostalgic ride for the younger but getting older generation that remembers driving their first Civic several years ago.

These seven cars are what we have all been waiting for and have been discussing while waiting with bated breath for them to make their way to the dealerships for us to test drive and possibly purchase.  There is no way these cars will disappoint once they arrive and in some cases we may find ourselves falling more in love with them than we ever thought we possibly could as they become our next fun sports car to take home and love every time we turn the key.
