Because the Sorento received major changed for 2014, the 2015 version is only slightly refined from a year ago. Enhancements were made to the chassis, engines and interior to offer a crossover SUV that feels much more luxury than its price tag might suggest. Offered in both seven-passenger and five-passenger configurations, owners can have their Sorento be ready to offer space for a growing family to enjoy or the extra cargo room some owners yearn for. Dealing with stiff competition from the Ford Edge, Dodge Journey, Toyota Highlander and Nissan Pathfinder, the Sorento offers an amazing amount of features for the money to make this great SUV quite a bargain.
The changes made for this new model year include a minor upgrade to the grill and front end, an addition of a navigation system without having to add the UVO system, an Infinity sound system and a more fuel efficient four-cylinder engine. All the additions will help take a great crossover SUV and put it over the top of the competition for the upcoming model year.
Did you know that the people who love BMW also love art? It’s true. They even have a collection of “art” cars to prove it. They asked various famous artists to design the cars. Artists like Andy Warhol painted these gems and now these vehicles are on display in the BMW Museum. They even get to travel around the world in various shows. This program has been in place since 1975 when BMW commissioned 17 artists to paint and design some of their racing cars.
As a true Cadillac the SRX is a great crossover SUV and the little brother to the Escalade that sets the tone for all luxury SUVs to try and sound off to. Because not everyone is looking for an SUV that has the bulk of the Escalade and the sales numbers support the fact that smaller SUV’s are more popular than larger ones for the size, performance, handling and ease of use. For those reasons the SRX is entering its fifth year of existence in a class with the BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLK.
The SRX offers a much more comfortable ride and interior than its competition as well as a very powerful V6. Even though it isn’t as athletic looking as the competitors the SRX has many more luxury features than any of the others allowing the SRX to show off as why Cadillac is still the luxury leader of the world and even has the best in the luxury crossover SUV class. For 2015 the SRX adds a few new colors to choose from as well as the addition of 4G LTE with a built in Wi-Fi hotspot integrated in the OnStar system.
When Mazda unleashed the CX-5 on the scene two years ago there was no telling what would happen. Enhanced by performance and fantastic good looks this awesome crossover SUV came in strong and has carried the mantra of “zoom-zoom” for Mazda for two full model years. Coming out for a third tour of duty the CX-5 has even more enhanced performance from a more powerful engine, but also keeps up with fuel efficiency most car owners are clamoring for these days. Add to this the advanced safety features, great handling and the CX-5 handles the competition from the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape with ease and brilliance.
Mazda obviously felt it was close to perfection with the 2014 model of the CX-5 because the only change for the 2015 is the addition of Advanced Keyless Entry for the Touring and Grand Touring trims. Otherwise unchanged, the CX-5 is a gorgeous crossover SUV that offers a host of technology and features for all shoppers to enjoy and fall in love with very easily.
The Acura RDX offers a long history of reliability and a better than average resale value for owners to enjoy. As an excellent small SUV the RDX is comfortable and comes packed with plenty of cargo space for a family of five to head out on a nice long vacation or simply to enjoy a weekend trip to the lake for some fun in the sun. The RDX competes in the luxury class but does lack a few of the more advanced features found on many luxury vehicles of today.
Competing with such stout competition as the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLK Class and Audi Q5, the Acura RDX offers a great feel and stands out as a practical small SUV for a family to own. Whether its life mission is to become a daily driver, or it is more apt to be the family weekend getaway vehicle, this nice SUV has a lot of character and equipment to enjoy. Because it doesn’t pack all the luxury offerings inside that can sometimes be found on luxury SUV’s the RDX is priced much lower than its competition allowing owners to enjoy a bit of break at the dealership.
As a longstanding name in the full-sized SUV category, the Yukon offers owners plenty of space, towing capacity, and ability for any task. No matter if the crew needs to get to the job site and build something awesome and inspiring, or the family needs to get away for the weekend in the woods, at the lake, or to the beach, the Yukon is there to handle all needs with ease and enjoyment that is unmatched in its class.
Recently the Yukon has been heading into the luxury platforms of the full-sized SUV world with its highly luxurious Denali trim. For 2015 the standard trim is actually going to be even nicer than the old Denali trim which means the Denali will have to be even better; a huge bonus to those already fanatical Denali lovers. The entire lineup of Yukon is completely new for 2015. With all the great new looks of the exterior, new interior and upgraded technology shoppers might think GMC forgot about the inner workings of this beast, but they would be wrong. The chassis, suspension and both V8 engines are all upgraded to offer an even better ride and more fuel efficiency than ever before.
Competing in a segment full of namesakes that have for a long time been leaders in the class, the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander comes in ready to take the lead with great styling and a very upbeat all-wheel drive that adds control to allow the vehicle to be taken off road when desired for a little time away from the paved world. The Outlander has to be a great compact SUV to stand up to the Honda CR-V, Ford Escape, and Toyota RAV4 that have led the way for so long in this segment.
The only real knock on this great compact SUV is the lack of power in the engine compartment, but with a starting price under $25,000 the Outlander is a fantastic compact SUV to get started with. Offering owners the ability to transport more than five passengers and head off road with ease the Outlander is a great vehicle to own. For 2015, the Outlander adds several new upgrades including a FUSE hands-free audio system with USB and iPod interfaces that is available on all trim levels, Bluetooth connectivity and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift know. The SE trim adds new leatherette and cloth upholstery and the GT adds new aluminum-alloy wheels, LED taillights and silver roof rack rails.
