Competing in a category with the Acura MDX and Audi Q7, the QX60 shows off with a lot of room across all three rows, unlike many third row vehicles. Add the excellent on board safety system that offers a 360-degree camera system along with other safety features and the QX60 comes close to many of the Volvo models for bragging rights in the realm of safety features. As a newer, renamed model vehicle, the QX60 only has minor changes for 2015 including a Wheat interior color, a revised transmission and some new exterior color options.
The QX60 shows up with a great driving experience that boasts excellent acceleration and very responsive control. The continuously variable transmission aboard the QX60 performs a lot like a traditional automatic transmission. The suspension and steering features aboard the QX60 offer Infiniti style engineering and a high degree of ride comfort to ensure the vehicle can withstand all road abrasions without jarring the occupants of the vehicle. Add a very quiet and secure cabin that allows owners to enjoy some great musical selections and not have to listen to the outside sounds of the road around the vehicle.
For the QX60, there are two engines that can be found aboard in the engine compartment. The first is the base engine which is a well-mannered 3.5-liter V6 engine offering 265 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is mated to the CVT and offers a very nice fuel efficiency that comes in at 21 city/27 hwy mpg in the front-wheel drive (FWD) model and 19 city/26 hwy mpg for the all-wheel drive (AWD) version. The transmission offers a few different driving modes, Standard, Sport, Snow and Eco along with offering a manual shifting option for drivers to find the right driving mode for the conditions they are facing. This powertrain includes the 5,000 pound towing capacity for owners to enjoy.

This pairing offers a combined 250 horsepower and 243 lb.-ft. of torque. All materials are soft and enjoyable, especially the standard leather seating. The control panel is high tech and easy to understand along with offering drivers plenty of information to help them keep the vehicle properly in the lane and all on board safe and secure.
On the outside the QX60 shows off great styling with some very interesting angles and appearance features which has become almost a staple of the Infiniti lineup. With more rounded angles and a very long roof that allows for the excellent rear seat space, the QX60 has a lot of appeal to the eye. Add some well-placed chrome accents and a horizontal grill that is flanked by two tear drop shaped headlights and this SUV offers plenty of great looks from just about any view. The wheels finish off the appearance enjoyment of the SUV with a fan-style shape that looks great driving down the road.
Infiniti has a reputation for offering more for the money than some other luxury models and the QX60 is no exception to this. With such a long list, anyone purchasing even the base model QX60 will enjoy many of the different standard features aboard.
Of course, as a luxury model should, the QX60 shows up with a very nice list of optional equipment to choose from as well. This list includes the choice of engines, the choice between FWD and AWD, a navigation system, a 13-speaker or 15 speaker Bose premium audio system, climate controlled front seats, intelligent cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warnings and a system that automatically applies the brakes when needed. Add to this list the availability of a rear-seat entertainment package that has two seven-inch screens built into the front headrests and a pair of wireless headphones and just about every passenger in this vehicle can enjoy the great ride.
The base price for the Infiniti QX60 shows up at just above the $43,000 mark. The hybrid model shows up at a little over $46,000, which is not a huge jump to enjoy the great efficiency offered by a hybrid powertrain. Adding the AWD to either vehicle increases the price by $1,400 and a loaded QX60 will reach in the mid-$50,000 range or as much as $60,000 on the hybrid. At any price, this luxury SUV offers plenty for any owner or passenger to take full advantage of on the road.
