Warmer Weather Driving Perfection
Do you remember last summer? Did you see all the great convertibles that were driving around your town or at your favorite summer vacation area? Isn’t it time you joined in on the top down fun yourself? Of course it is and you want to know what you should buy so that you can have some of the fun in the sun as well. When you don’t want to buy a new car there are plenty of great used vehicles on the market to have the right convertible for you. These are some of our favorites and ones you should consider for your summer driving fun.
BMW Z3 – The car that was on the market before the Z4 was one you can love to drive. The Z3 is a car that was built between 1995 and 2002 and you can find some great models for as little as $10,000 and some others that are around $15,000. This is a two-seater roadster that gives you the convertible top and the exciting and athletic ride of a great BMW.
Chevrolet Camaro – A convertible Camaro is always a thing of beauty, regardless of the model year. You will be able to admire and enjoy the fun of a drive that comes from one of the most iconic cars on the road. You can even find awesome performance versions in the Z/28 and SS builds that will give you the power you want and the convertible you can show off with.
Chrysler 200 and Sebring – The Sebring is no longer built and the 200 is on its way off the market, but these two are classy and gorgeous, especially with the top down. The Sebring was the model built until 2008 when it was renamed to the 200. You can find many of these models under $10,000 and enjoy a great ride that will fit as many as four of your friends that want to ride along with you.
Ford Mustang – The Mustang has been built with convertible tops for many years and has been one of the most admired cars on the road for several generations. You can have some with smaller engines for as little as $5,000 and the larger power models may cost you as much as $15,000 for a used model. This is certainly a car that you will love to drive and show off to your friends.
Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder – When you want a reliable convertible that comes at an easy to live with price this is the one for you. This small convertible car offers you gorgeous lines and looks and the GT models that have great V6 power under the hood. Because Mitsubishi is suffering in the US the time to buy these cars is now and prices are usually easy to love.
MG MGB and Midget – You can find some great MG models at reasonable prices, but you have to be ready to restore most of them and give them the care they need. With these cars you can have the best looking convertible in town. If you want a project car and a great convertible that can give you the ride you want this is a great way to go.
Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky – As the GM answer to the Miata these two unfortunately met their doom when the brands were cut in 2008. Now you can find the convertible versions of these two cars at great prices to have a wonderful car that will give you the ride you want and the performance you desire to whip the car around on the road. Both of these models are more powerful than the Miata to give you a car that is more fun than the one made to be fun.
Saab 9-3 – Unfortunately GM rid itself of this division a long time ago, but there are still several of these cars driving around on our roads that you can have in convertible form for a good price. This is a car that will get noticed as one that isn’t as present as many of the rest and it won’t break you bank to make this the car for you.
