There will also be a more powerful 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine available for the drive that pumps up the power to 175 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. The base engine uses a six-speed automatic transmission for the drive while the turbocharged engine makes use of a seven-speed dual clutch automatic for the drive on the roads. This is an impressive new SUV for us to experience when it’s time for it to go on sale in the early part of next year.

Trims You’ll Find in the New Kona

Just like it’s brother SUV, Hyundai Tucson, there will be four trim levels offered when the Kona enters the market. These trims are SE, SLE, Limited, and Ultimate. There are several different qualities and features that will be offered across these trims to make sure you can have the items that will make the drive better for you while giving you more of the advanced safety items you’re looking for when it’s time to be out on the road.
