More Juice for the 2019 Chevrolet Volt
The Chevrolet Volt has been a car that we admire for being a useful and impressive model that can offer a good range of EV driving and an excellent range from the gas tank. As the hybrid model that Chevrolet has built for a few years to offer us more for the drive, the Volt receives some improvements for the 2019 model year to continue to give us advanced technology and more power. The electric system has been improved to make it better for the new model and the technology inside will keep you connected better than in the past.
The Charging Time is Cut in the Volt
One of the toughest parts of a sale of an EV in the market today is the charging time. This is one reason hybrid models have been as popular as they have been, with plug-in hybrids offering both an EV range and a gasoline engine for the drive. The Chevrolet Volt has been built with the ability to give you 53 miles of driving on the electric power and up to 620 miles between the two systems. This has made the Volt an easy choice to make which is now made even better.
A new 7.2 kW charging system is offered for the Volt to cut the charge time in half and make it better for you to have the quality you want when you drive. This new system means twice the added range for every thirty minutes on the charger at a Level 2 station. This also means a better overall range and the charging of the Volt is more worthwhile than in the past. Now, the Volt can be charged in as little as 2.3hours using a 240-volt plug and the supporting hardware. This system is now standard on the Volt Premier and an option for the LT model.
More Upgrades in the Chevy Volt
There’s now an option to lower the activation temperature of the engine-assisted heater to make sure you can stay warmer. This new item will now go to temps as low as -13 degrees before the engine kicks on to warm up the cabin. There’s a new regenerative braking profile to give you more from this system and added power back into the electric system during the drive. This aids the Volt in being the right choice for your drive.
In the cabin, you’ll see a new infotainment system with an 8.0-inch screen, a new energy app that shows how the driving style and climate control system affect the range, and a new power driver’s seat is also offered for the first time. With a charging time that’s been cut in half and the ability to drive for as long as you want in the Chevrolet Volt, you’re going to be glad to have this impressive car as the hybrid you love to enjoy. Stop by and see the team at your nearby Chevrolet dealer and check out this incredible car today.
