Moving Up in the Heavy Duty GMC Sierra

by Noah ReynoldsPosted on August 6, 2018

One of the most capable trucks on the market has been the GMC Sierra 2500 HD. This is a truck that’s been used for the big jobs, the small jobs, the recreation, and the daily drive in comfort and style.
Anyone who has driven this truck has been amazed by the power and performance offered and at the Denali trim, the luxury features that have been part of the package of this truck. The GMC Sierra 2500 HD is a truck that’s built to handle whatever you need to get done and continue to deliver for you.

Most of the time, the GMC models are updated and improved at the same time, or at least a year later. This trend seems to be ready to continue as the new GMC Sierra 2500 HD has been seen testing on the roads while wearing a ton of camouflage. What makes this the right time for the heavy-duty truck to be updated? Simple, the new Sierra 1500 is already being changed and a new model is being offered and the larger model will wear and offer some of the same items that can give us the qualities we want during a drive to the jobsite our out for some fun.

What We See in the GMC Sierra 2500 HD

With the Sierra 1500 being upgraded for the 2019 model year, it makes perfect sense for the heavy-duty models to be ready to go for the following model year. That appears to be the target model year for the new Sierra HD to show up. The model that was seen out on the roads during testing is the Denali trim and it was covered heavily in the camouflage you expect to see when vehicles are being tested.
The new model appears to be ready to wear the same large chrome grill and similar body lines as the new Sierra 1500. This new and larger model also looks like it will have an identical rear fascia as the smaller truck. This big brute will be an attractive large truck and offer us the look we want and the features we expect in the Denali trim. The truck that was out testing and wearing a ton of coverings was powered by a 6.6-liter V8 diesel engine. The 6.0-liter gasoline V8 engine is expected to be part of the lineup as well when this truck makes its way to the market.
Look for the new 2020 version of the GMC Sierra Denali 2500 HD to be on sale at some point in 2019 to make it easy for you to have a large truck that offers you all the qualities you want and the amazing comfort you’ve been after. This massive truck is one that will get the job done, allow you to have an excellent performance on the road, and get you wherever you need to go. You’re sure to continue to be able to pull that boat and show off the incredible style and comfort you love in this new version of the Sierra 2500 HD.
