CDK Global Ranked As One of the Worst Companies to Work For

According to a new report, CDK Global is ranked among the worst companies to work for. The independent study, conducted by 24/7 Wall Street, was an analysis of employee reviews on Glassdoor –the go-to site for job seekers.CDK Global is an Illinois-based company that offers car retailers IT and digital marketing services. A company of about 8,900 employees, CDK Global received some 1,400 Glassdoor reviews, and from the results, it’s evident they could use some improvement!

Companies rated by employees

Glassdoor is one of the largest job and recruiting sites worldwide and offers honest feedback and company reviews by current and former employees. As their name implies, it’s built on workplace transparency and offers job seekers an inside look at what it’s really like to work for a company. Employees write anonymous reviews, citing the pros, and cons of working for a particular company and offering advice to the management. They can recommend if others should work there or not, rate the outlook (negative or positive) and indicate whether they approve of the CEO. Job seekers can also research salary information, benefits, and interview techniques.

Workers need to feel valued

The companies most likely to hold onto employees and attract top candidates are those who value their workers, offer growth potential, and where the senior management is trusted. Without these benefits, a company is likely to have a high turnover rate and general dissatisfaction among its workforce. And of course, they’re not going to attract as many job seekers, especially with negative reviews on sites such as Glassdoor. Practically any job seeker serious about landing the best position is sure to check out this site before responding to job openings.

Major companies falling short

The average rating for companies is 3.4 out of 5 stars. But some major employers are falling short. 24/7 Wall Street independently researched and examined employee reviews on Glassdoor, to reveal the worst companies to work for. According to this particular study, the 18 worst companies have a rating of 2.7 or lower.

CDK Global –ranked among the worst

CDK Global came in at #16 of the 18 worst, with a rating of 2.7/5. Only 39 percent of employees –who can be either present or former employees –recommended others work here. And only 38 percent approved of the CEO. A large number of reviewers gave CDK Global only one star.
