Getting Closer to the Ford Bronco
We know more about the upcoming Ford Bronco than we have in the past. One thing we know right now is the fact that this SUV will be called the Bronco Sport and not simply the Bronco as it was when it was around in the past.
We also know that the Bronco Sport will be added to the 2021 model year lineup for the Ford brand. Until recently, we didn’t know much about this new SUV, but recent documents show what this new SUV might have come from under the hood and the number of trims you might see.
Power Coming for this Ford
If you’re looking for a small SUV that can give you the power that makes driving right the Ford Bronco Sport will be one of the models you want to consider in the future. This small and active SUV will be powered by one of two engines to give you the drive and efficiency you need. This shouldn’t come as a surprise with the Ford team offering a variety of engines for each of the different SUVs that are part of what you see on the road right now.
The Specific Engines
You’ll find the 1.5-liter Dragon three-cylinder engine for the Ford Bronco Sport. This engine is an EcoBoost model that can give you up to 200 horsepower but will likely have 180 horsepower for the drive you want to enjoy. You’ll have the benefits of cylinder deactivation with this model, giving you the fuel mileage you want to enjoy. The upgraded engine offered for the Bronco Sport will be a 2.0-liter GTDI four-cylinder EcoBoost engine that is capable of giving you 250 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines will likely be offered with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission and we expect this SUV to have 4WD as part of the mix.
Trims offered for the Bronco
You will find five different trims offered for the Ford Bronco Sport when it arrives in the market. This SUV will be offered in Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands, First Edition, and the base Sport model. We don’t have any details regarding the equipment offered in each of the trims yet. Some of the items we expect to see include the SYNC 3 infotainment system, power front seats, blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, and emergency collision braking.
Going Against the Off-Road SUVs
Ford has been aiming at the off-road SUV market for a while, but they have been sitting on the sideline for a while. The previous version of the Ford Bronco was offered to be the alternative to the Jeep Wrangler to give you the off-road prowess needed. The newest ford Bronco Sport is an SUV that will be pitted against this same Jeep to be an off-road SUV that can be great for you to drive. Get ready for the Bronco Sport to be offered for the 2021 model year and take this SUV out on the trails for some fun.
