Hyundai Shows Off at SEMA

Hyundai Kona Concept

We love to see what’s being offered at the SEMA show every year and the Hyundai brand offered us a pair of vehicles that make it easy for us to see the fun we’re looking for.
This show is where we see the target of the Hyundai team when it comes to the performance we want to enjoy from the Hyundai Veloster and the Hyundai Kona. This brand showed up with a pair of concept models that have the upgrades that we’d love to see, however, they are sadly only concepts for the time being.

The Hyundai Veloster N Upgraded

We already expect to get a lot of fun and power out of the Hyundai Veloster N model, but when you see what this brand has at the SEMA show you’ll see where this car can go. The new model offered as a concept is called the Bisimoto VelosterRaptor N Concept and its meant to be a “Type R Killer” which might give you an idea of the target that Hyundai has in mind. The team at Hyundai gave this car a ton of amazing upgrades to make sure it could be the car that has the fun you want when you head out for a drive.
This new version of the Hyundai Veloster N has been tuned up to make more than 320 horsepower with upgraded turbocharger internals that have been tuned to offer more fun and power on the roads and tracks you find for your drive. A high-performance intercooler has been added as has a high-flow exhaust system, high-flow intake, and a water methanol kit. The suspension has been lowered and the car is ready to show off and let you see exactly what a performance version of the Veloster is supposed to be.

A Hyundai Kona Concept

The Hyundai Kona is the small and mild-mannered SUV that finds its way to the subcompact part of the SUV class. This new model, brought to the SEMA show, is called the Kona Ultimate Concept and it’s been crafted by Rockstar Performance Garage. This vehicle is essentially a lifted Kona which rides on 30-inch Mickey Thompson off-road racing tires that wrap 16-inch Motegi rally wheels. This is just the beginning of what you see with this aggressive-looking Kona that made its way to the show to give us a look at what this new concept can be.
Looking deeper into the Hyundai Kona Ultimate, you’ll see the turbocharged engine has been tuned up by Race Chip performance tuning by adding a Magnaflow exhaust and a K&N intake. High-performance rotors and pads improve the braking power of this SUV, and the intense LED lighting in the front makes it easier for you to navigate the drive to make sure you can go where you need to when behind the wheel.
Hopefully, some of the upgrades on these two concept models will make it to the production line so that you can get to your local Hyundai dealer and enjoy the fun of these two juiced up models.
