Step Up the Power in the Jeep Wrangler
For years, the Jeep Wrangler was only offered with one engine. For the 2021 model year, there are now four different engines for this SUV.
The top power for you to enjoy is found in the Wrangler Rubicon 392 which comes with four doors and a strong Hemi V8 engine to offer you what you want when heading out on the trails.
A Big Hemi for Your Drive
When Jeep looked at the different Hemi models that could be used in the Wrangler, they chose the largest one. This means you could find the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 found in the Rubicon model you select. The 392 moniker comes from the fact this engine offers 392 cubic inches of displacement, making it big, powerful, and seriously impressive.
We first saw this version of the Wrangler as a concept model with power numbers that were good, but both the horsepower and torque have been improved by 20 from the concept to the production model. This means you’ll have 470 of both to make sure you can have the power you want wherever you go. This engine makes towing, crawling, fording, and climbing much better in this amazing SUV when you take it out on the trails.
More Improvements to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392
You’ll have more than simply a large engine when you decide to drive this version of the Wrangler. This model also offers you upgraded frame rails, front upper control arms, and cast iron steering knuckles to help handle the increase of power. As expected, Dana 44 axles remain under this Jeep and both have thicker tubes and electronic locking differentials. This model sits two inches higher than the regular Rubicon version to give you more clearance over obstacles.
A System that Moves Water Away
While it’s not a snorkel system, which can be ordered for this Jeep, the Rubicon 392 uses a system called Hydro-Guide. This system is an air intake system that moves water away from the intake for the engine. This three-level duct system can move up to 15 gallons of water per minute away from these intakes to make sure water stays out of the engine.
Visual Elements that Make this Jeep Wrangler Stand Apart
You’ll see a functional hood scoop on the Rubicon 392 model to help feed more air into the massive engine of this version. Both sides of the scoop have the 392 badges to let you know this is the version of the Wrangler you’re dealing with. Enjoy added items on this model to make it an off-roader including tow hooks, Trail Rated badging, the Fox shock decals, along with four exhaust ports you’ll see under the rear bumper.
When you want to experience the most powerful and impressive version of the Jeep Wrangler, the Rubicon 392 is the version you want to take for a drive. This impressive vehicle can be the one that you use for your fun and adventures in the wilderness.
