One Hybrid Powertrain for All Trims

Much the same as the Sequoia has done for many years, only one powertrain is offered for this SUV. This new model has an improved set up which is a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine plus an electric motor. This hybrid power plant mates to a ten-speed automatic transmission to send 437 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque to the wheels. This output is much higher than the previous generation of the Sequoia, which used an old-school V8 engine to give it the power for a drive. We don’t have fuel mileage numbers yet but expect this hybrid Sequoia to offer good numbers compared to other full-size SUVs.
