2024 Acura ZDX: The First Step Into the EV World

The 2024 Acura ZDX is the first all-electric vehicle from Acura. Does it bring enough driving qualities and features to make it a true Acura? Let’s find out.

Unlike Toyota, Honda chose to develop its electric vehicle lineup in conjunction with a proven winner; GM and its Ultium battery platform. The new ZDX brings similarities to the Cadillac Lyriq, without stepping on the new EV Caddy’s toes. From every angle, this new Acura electric SUV brings the qualities we associate with an Acura SUV, making it easy to fit into the lineup.

Two trims to get things started

The new ZDX has only two trims to get things going, both wear performance-oriented names. These two trims are A-Spec and Type S. The Type S model has a dual-motor setup that generates 500 horsepower to rocket this smallish SUV down the road in a hurry. The A-Spec isn’t a slouch, but only has one electric motor. This lower trim is still good for 358 horsepower to offer ample driving excitement and fun. You can enjoy a dual-motor A-Spec model, but this version peaks at 490 horsepower.

As for driving range, the ZDX A-Spec boasts 313 miles of driving range while the Type S achieves less at 278 miles of range. The AWD A-Spec model hits 304 miles of driving range, making it easy to use any of the 2024 Acura ZDX models for your daily driving pleasure.

Which ZDX should you drive?

With only two trims to choose from, it shouldn’t be difficult to figure out which model to drive. Here’s what you’ll find in each version of this new electric Acura SUV.
